Presentation of BIOPOL project

Next January 24, 2019, the CETIM Technological Center will host the presentation of the Conecta PEME BIOPOL project in its facilities “Obtaining BIOPOLimers from by-products of the dairy industry and application in sectors of interest”.

Its consortium is formed by the companies ENSO Environmental Solutions, DairyLAC, CARINSA, SOELEC España and INDUTEC Ingenieros, the latter leader of the consortium. With the technological support of CETIM, the partners will carry out the research, development and validation of a new process for obtaining biopolymers (polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs)), based on the use of by-products and waste streams generated in the dairy industry.

In order to determine the viability of the biopolymers obtained, they will be tested in two applications of high added value: in the development of controlled release encapsulates and in adsorbents for environmental remediation.

To attend the event, limited capacity, please confirm by email to the address comunicacion@cetim.es.
