On November 27th, the Centre for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI) resolved the CDTI Missions programme, aimed at financing large strategic business R&D initiatives in key challenges for the future of Spain.

 

CETIM is the technical coordinator and main research centre of the innovative LiOn-HD project, which, led by Silicio FerroSolar, will investigate the use of strategic materials in high energy density lithium-ion batteries for sustainable electromobility.

 

The project is also supported by companies and organisations such as the PSA Group, the Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative (EMIRI), the Galician Energy Institute (INEGA) and the Galician Agency for Innovation (GAIN).

Almost 200 registrants from all over Spain in the online conference “How the circular economy can position you in your sector” confirm the interest in the potential of the circular economy to create sustainable business models.

 

Experts in innovation from CETIM presented the techniques and technologies of the Technological Center; specifically the latest equipment incorporated within the framework of the CircularCETIM project valued at € 650,000.

Last May, CDTI approved financing a budget of more than 5 million euros for the DICKENS project, for industrial research in obtaining composites from natural sources.

 

The project is funded through the National Business Research Consortiums (CIEN, for its Spanish acronym) strategic program.

 

On November 3, the first consortium meeting of the project took place, formed by ENCE, BASF Construction Chemicals, Omar Coatings, CARINSA, QMC Tecnología Química, Tecno-Caucho and Pinturas BRUPER.
