CETIM studies collaborations with the National Hydrogen Centre
Emilio Nieto, director of this public research center, visited our headquarters in Culleredo to study collaborations around green hydrogen.
CETIM is one of the constituent entities of the recently created Galician Hydrogen Association (AGH2) to collaborate in the promotion and development of this renewable fuel in Galicia as an energy vector.

CETIM Technological Center continues to forge strategic alliances with key R&D actors at national level through participation in knowledge networks and specific platforms relevant to our fields of activity.
Last June, we were one of the constituent entities of the recently created Galician Hydrogen Association (AGH2), which was created with the aim of boosting the promotion and development of renewable hydrogen in Galicia as an energy vector. Among other reference entities that have joined this regional initiative is the National Hydrogen Center, based in Ciudad Real.
Visit in Culleredo
Precisely, as a result of our work and research in hydrogen, last week we received Emilio Nieto, director of the National Hydrogen Center, who came to see our work in person at the headquarters of CETIM Technological Center in Culleredo (A Coruña). Here he was received by the general director, Toni Pons, and the executive director, Lucía Vázquez, as well as Julio Fierro and Ruth Iglesias from the CETIM ECOBIO Technologies line.
During the meeting and subsequent guided tour of our facilities, we were able to talk about future CETIM–CNH2 collaborations in the hydrogen field and the sustainable production, storage and uses of a key energy source in the transformation of Europe into a climate-neutral continent by 2050.
Experts in sustainable production of green hydrogen
At our Technological Center we are experts in gasification processes and in different technologies for obtaining green hydrogen. We focus on R&D&I projects such as Zeppelin, in which CETIM coordinates and leads scientific research focused on innovative, efficient and circular technological solutions for the production and storage of green hydrogen. In this industrial research we collaborate with companies such as Repsol, Reganosa, Redexis, Naturgy, Norvento, Perseo, Técnicas Reunidas or Aqualia, leader of the project.
At an institutional level, with the adhesion to the Galician Hydrogen Association, CETIM Technological Center are actively participating in almost twenty professional platforms such as the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, Atiga or Viratec. This network of synergies that we have created is the result of one of our priority objectives: to promote collaboration between entities as a fundamental factor for success in the field of national and international cooperation.
