We continue exploring CETIM’s capabilities in LIFE Programme calls. This time we are going to focus on the ‘Environment and Climate Action‘ programme in the topics of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. The call will remain open until 21st September 2023.
- Nature-based solutions: Design of nature-based solutions applied to water management, flood prevention, natural treatment systems, etc.

- Shift to zero-emission mobility:
- Battery cells with improved performance and recyclability.
- Materials for hydrogen storage.
In the Advanced Materials area, we have a research line and laboratories to develop research in energy storage, both for the development of anodes, cathodes, electrolytes and separators for high energy density electrochemical cells, and for research into advanced bio-based materials for hydrogen storage with high specific surface area and adsorption capacity.
Examples of projects in this line are RELOAD, which will drive sustainable electromobility through the creation of batteries with improved performance and complete recycling.
- Generation of renewable energy:
In the ECO Biotechnologies area, we have a line of research and pilot laboratories to develop processes for obtaining biogas and green hydrogen.
An example of projects in this line is ZEPPELIN, which researches the production of hydrogen from waste.
