Centre of Excellence in Circular Economy CETIM

The ‘Axencia Galega de Innovación’ has approved funding requested by the CETIM Technological Centre for the construction of the new Centre of Excellence in Circular Economy “CETIM” in the Morás Industrial Estate (Arteixo), within the framework of the call for support aimed at the creation and improvement of research, testing and experimental infrastructure in Galician technological centres. The objective of this scheme is to enhance the capabilities of technological centres in order to strengthen their excellence at an international level and reinforce their knowledge transfer activities to SMEs.

The main objective of this project is to promote the creation of an advanced, unique and innovative research infrastructure of outstanding scientific and technological excellence with an international outlook, dedicated to Circular Economy and Sustainability. It is designed to strengthen research capabilities, technological processes, innovation and knowledge transfer; attract and retain highly qualified talent; and foster cooperation with the productive sector—especially SMEs—thereby enhancing business competitiveness and supporting the transition towards a sustainable and circular economic model.

The project is funded by the Axencia Galega de Innovación within the framework of the aforementioned programme and and co-funded by the European Union through the Feder Galicia 2021-2027 programme, falling under Political Objective OP1, Priority 1. A, Specific Objective RSO 1.1 and Line of Action L.A 1.1.01.
