The European Union’s LIFE programme, managed by the European Commission’s European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment, is the only financial instrument of the European Union exclusively dedicated to the environment and climate action. Since its creation in 1992, more than 920 LIFE projects coordinated by Spain have been approved, contributing to the implementation, updating and development of the Union’s environmental and climate policies and legislation.
The current LIFE 2021-2027 programme has a budget of 5,432 million euros distributed among its four sub-programmes:
Innovative Secondary Wastewater treatment with resource recovery.

Prevention of erosion and reforestation of the flora of burned forest areas, through an innovative solution of fungi and technosols.
Consortium: CETIM, AFG, FORESTIS, Hifas da Terra, INDUTEC, TEN Tratamientos Ecológicos del Noroeste, Universidade de Aveiro.
Upgrading wastewater treatment plants by Low cost Innovative technologies for energy Self-Sufficiency and full recycling.

The European Union funding programme Interreg Sudoe supports regional development and cohesion in the regions of Southwest Europe. For the programming period 2021-2027, the Sudoe programme has a budget from the Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) of €125 million.
An example of our experience in this call is the SUDOE NEWPOWER project, in which we will realise the integral valorisation of agroforestry waste and create new scalable multi-product biorefineries in collaboration with the following consortium:
