As part of this project funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación, CETIM is promoting a strategy that combines technology, talent and artificial intelligence to consolidate its role as a key player in sustainable innovation at European level.

At CETIM, we are working on the FORZA project to implement a strategy aimed at strengthening our European Projects Office (OPE), increasing business engagement in Horizon Europe and attracting international talent, whilst also supporting our human resources. As a key driver of collaborative R&D, we will contribute to the participation of Spanish organisations in European programmes, with a particular focus on SMEs, which traditionally face greater barriers to entry.

The FORZA project helps to enhance CETIM’s capabilities in the field of European R&D&I programmes, particularly in relation to Horizon Europe. The initiative aims to bring about structural improvements in the identification of strategic opportunities, the generation and internal circulation of specialist knowledge, and institutional positioning within international collaboration networks.

Through a comprehensive set of measures, the project will streamline internal processes relating to the preparation of and participation in European funding schemes, whilst encouraging greater involvement of research and technical staff in these initiatives. It also aims to strengthen CETIM’s presence in international consortia, facilitating collaboration with external organisations and promoting the participation of businesses, particularly SMEs.

The project also includes measures designed to strengthen the organisation’s international dimension, both in terms of visibility and cooperation and in terms of attracting and retaining specialist talent. This will be achieved through activities focused on strategic analysis, the revitalisation of collaborative networks, support for the preparation of proposals, and the coordinated management of the actions planned for the project’s implementation period.

FORZA will have a scientific, economic and internationalising impact on CETIM. More specifically, it will contribute to the engagement and professional development of our researchers, strengthen our scientific and technical capabilities, position us as a driving force within the R&D&I ecosystem, enable us to expand and consolidate international collaboration networks, and help us to internationalise our human resources.
