Today the protagonists are our scientists!

Today we commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science under the theme “Innovate. Demonstrate. Elevate. Advance. Sustain (I.D.E.A.S.)”. This year, the aim is to highlight the role played by women in science and technology in relation to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At CETIM we are committed to improving practices, strategies and solutions to address the challenges and opportunities of the Sustainable Development Goals. For this reason, we have 67% of scientists and researchers in our staff, compared to 33% men. And not only that, but the positions of high responsibility are also held by 73% by women in our entity.

Mar Castro, researcher at CETIM: “The increasing participation of women in the field of science, in positions of responsibility and as promoters of numerous pioneering proposals is a key pillar, not only in scientific and business development, but also social”. In addition, he added that his work at CETIM allows him to continue developing “personally and professionally”.
