Barcelona University and CETIM organize the LIFE Green Sewer Seminar

It will be held on May 29 in Barcelona.

Companies and research organizations such as Aqualia, Acciona Agua or the universities of Barcelona and Politécnica de Catalunya will give lectures on direct osmosis and AnMBR applied to urban wastewater and waste recovery.

CETIM, project leader, will present the project and the new secondary wastewater treatment system it proposes, based on an integration of direct-indirect osmosis with AnMBR.

LIFE Green Sewer

LIFE GREENSEWER is one of the five European projects achieved by CETIM in 2018, in which it leads a consortium of five partners (CETIM, UB, Magtel, COPASA, SOCAMEX). The project, which began to be implemented in 2018, proposes a new system that will not only treat wastewater, but also simultaneously allow the recovery of resources in line with the Strategic Plan for Circular Economy of the European Commission, obtaining biogas, nutrients and water for reuse. In addition, monitoring and reduction of discharges of emerging pollutants and pathogens will also be carried out, as well as the reduction of energy consumption and water losses, and the decrease in operating costs of secondary treatment of wastewater.
