SMARTSTORE

Development of 4.0 technologies to improve port logistics and the storage and transformation of relevant products in Galicia.

CONSORTIUM:

  • GALIGRAIN, S.A.U.
  • PROTEA PRODUCTOS DEL MAR, SA.
  • INTERNACIONAL DE COMERCIO Y SERVICIOS, S.L.
  • P&J CARRASCO, S.L.
  • CETIM

OBJECTIVE:
Development of new Industry 4.0 technologies to obtain outstanding technological advances in the main port logistics activities for highly relevant products in Galicia

GRANT AGREEMENT: IN854A 2020/08

TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET: 2.836.219,15€

2021 ANNUITY ADVANCES:
During the first year, CETIM has made a selection and optimization of the systems for automating the processes of PROTEA and GRUPO NOGAR through the use of different Industry 4.0 tools such as robots, artificial vision systems and digital twins throughout the different tasks of it.

2022 ANNUITY ADVANCES:
During 2022, the robotics and artificial vision developments that allow automated product classification have been successfully completed. Additionally, progress has been made in the implementation of the Digital Twins of the processes that have allowed the analysis, in some cases thanks to the use of custom-designed simulation models, of the points of improvement for the optimization of production.

2023 ANNUITY ADVANCES:
During the last year, validation of automatic product classification has been carried out, with the respective measurement of real times for the Digital Twin final adjustment developed for PROTEA. Secondly, the Digital Twin deployment has been completed, based on an Artificial Intelligence simulation model that has allowed the patterns identification in the production history and its optimisation, preserving at all times the product final quality. Finally, a Digital Twin has been implemented to support decision-making for the optimisation of space in the NOGAR GROUP’s warehouses, which will allow greater use to be made of its infrastructures and better management of these. The project has ended with the validation of all the systems and the extraction of the final conclusions.

FUNDING:
This project is granted by the Galician Innovation Agency in the framework of the 2020 call of the “Fábrica del futuro, fábrica inteligente y sostenible de la industria 4.0” aid programme. The grants awarded under this programme have been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under Axis 1 (Promoting research, technological development and innovation) of the ERDF Galicia 2014-2020 operational programme.  The project is supported by theVicepresidencia Segunda and Consellería de Economía, Empresa e Innovación.
