The Plataforma Tecnológica Española de Construcción, of which we are a member, is organising an event in A Coruña on 3^rd December, bringing together companies and organisations to share knowledge on innovative materials, the digital passport, robotics and Construction 5.0, digitalisation and industrialisation.

On Thursday 3^rd December, we will take part in the conference ‘Innovative technologies in the construction sector’, which will take place at Club Cámara Noroeste (A Coruña). The event, organised by PTEC, will bring together companies, technology centres and professionals to analyse how digitalisation, new materials and industrialisation are redefining construction processes.

The conference will address key issues such as innovative materials, the digital passport, digitalisation, industrialisation and the integration of new technologies in construction companies. It will also devote a prominent session to Construction 5.0, where advanced solutions based on robotics, flexible manufacturing, 3D printing, drones and autonomous systems for on-site execution, inspection and quality control will be discussed.

In this context, we will present the technologies we have developed with Grupo Puentes in FIBERSENS for continuous, remote predictive maintenance of large infrastructure. The main objective has been to develop new smart structures for civil engineering based on the integration of optical fibre sensors in concrete, enabling long-term monitoring of the health of structures, increasing their safety and service life while improving cost control.
