Save the date! On Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, CETIM will host the NEWPOWER project seminar: ‘From Forest to Packaging: Agroforestry Biomass for Sustainable Packaging’, which will focus on sustainability, forest management and the recovery of agroforestry waste.

At NEWPOWER, we are developing new pilot biorefinery platforms to obtain innovative, high added-value products that can be used in the food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, as well as in organic farming. All of this is done by making comprehensive use of agricultural and forestry waste, reusing it instead of disposing of it and always considering advanced, environmentally friendly methodologies.

During the meeting, we will present the research we are conducting in the project to obtain biomaterials from agricultural and forestry waste with potential applications in the food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and organic farming industries. In addition, we will have professionals from the agroforestry, biotechnology and sustainable packaging sectors who will share their experiences.
