At CETIM we continue to increase Galicia’s scientific talent

We are looking for senior profiles specialised in Life Cycle Assessment, polymeric materials, coatings and adhesives, sustainable building materials and water treatment technologies.

So far this year, a total of 20 undergraduate, master’s and vocational training students have completed their training placements at our facilities.

Chemists, biologists, biotechnologists, chemical engineers, physicists… these are some of the profiles we work with at CETIM Technological Centre. In the words of our Executive Director, Lucía Camino Vázquez: “The multidisciplinary and highly qualified team that makes up CETIM is our greatest asset. We combine experience, dynamism and youth to offer the best solutions to our clients”.

After increasing our recruitment by 35% in the last year, we continue to expand our workforce and attract scientific talent in Galicia. Our Head of People and Talent, Vanessa Fernández, explained that “sometimes the search is complicated because we demand highly specialised profiles, such as technicians to carry out Life Cycle Assessments linked to both R&D projects and industrial processes and products”. This is one of the positions we need to fill this year, in addition to senior profiles specialising in polymeric materials, coatings and adhesives, sustainable construction materials and water treatment technologies.

Vanessa Fernández encouraged “all those people who are looking for an opportunity to work in science, innovation and sustainability” to participate in the selection processes and stressed that CETIM’s basic working method is “collaboration between teams” because we believe that “sharing and pooling ideas offers richness and added value to our professional and personal growth”. All available job vacancies are published on www.cetim.es and applications can be sent via the form on the website.

New talents

CETIM maintains, once again this year, its collaboration with the main Galician universities (A Coruña, Santiago and Vigo), as well as the Vocational Training schools to bring students closer to a real working environment. In addition, as Vanessa Fernández commented: “Due to the multi-sectoral nature of the organisation, students can learn about different scientific fields and specialise in the one they are most interested in”. “So far this year, a total of 20 undergraduate, master’s and vocational training students have already completed their internships with us,” she added.

Similarly, CETIM participates in programmes promoted by the Department of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities of the Xunta de Galicia, such as EduTecEmprende, “which allow us to connect students with the business and technological reality”, concluded Vanessa.
