Presentation of SMARTSTORE project for the development of 4.0 technologies for the improvement of logistics in ports and the storage and transformation of relevant products

This Friday, April 23, the SMARTSTORE consortium organizes a webinar from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to publicize the project. Grupo NOGAR (project leader) will outline the keys and ambitious objectives of this project, which will investigate 4.0 technologies for the improvement of logistics in ports and the storage and transformation of relevant products in Galicia. The consortium, led by Galigrain (NOGAR Group), includes International Trade and Service, Protea Productos del Mar, J&P Carrasco and CETIM Centro Tecnológico, which is financed by the Galician Innovation Agency within the Factory of the Intelligent and Sustainable Future program.

Strategic importance for Galicia
Galicia is a maritime and port power, which in order to consolidate its position and face the challenges of the digitalization of society and industry, needs to incorporate this type of solutions to the port and logistics sector. SMARTSTORE involves the collaboration of large companies and SMEs of reference in port logistics with the Technological Center, in order to develop a series of high-tech proposals to intensify and optimize levels of efficiency, quality and safety throughout the entire chain Port logistics, from stowage at the port to delivery of the merchandise to the customer.

During the webinar, the consortium will present the “Factory of the future, intelligent and sustainable industry 4.0” program, which finances the project, as well as the companies that are members of the consortium, and will present the project’s objectives, its work plan, budget and investment, and the markets it targets.

SMARTSTORE is a project financed by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (P.O FEDER Galicia 2014-2020), through the Fábrica do Futuro Program.
