All interested people who could not attend the LIFE PHOENIX project workshop on November 4, which was taught in a hybrid format, can watch the event deferred through our YouTube channel and, consult the presentations of each speaker.
The LIFE PHOENIX consortium, led by Aqualia and with the participation of CETIM, is made up of 8 partners from Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands. Based on low energy consumption technologies, the aim of the project is to obtain reclaimed water from WWTPs of any size and to achieve qualities that allow reuse with full guarantees. Several demonstration plants integrated in sea containers will tour WWTPs in the Iberian Peninsula to test the viability of the selected technologies.
The Emulcell project “Cold bituminous mixes additivated with nanocellulose” (biopaving alternative to conventional asphalt) led by the Ourense company Misturas, S.A. and in which the Roads, Geotechnics and Materials Group of the CITEEC of the UDC and the Advanced Materials Area of CETIM Technology Centre participated, has won in the Company & Research category of the 1st Innovative Materials Competition of Galicia. The event, promoted and organised by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), coincided with World Materials Day.
Wood is, in essence, a circular raw material with an unbeatable degree of sustainability, far above that of other materials. This is an added value with which leading companies in the forestry sector such as FINSA work on a daily basis, promoting it through innovation to obtain new materials from waste; cutting-edge R&D projects in which CETIM collaborates. “Some of our factories can use up to 80% recycled material as raw material” says Javier Portela López, director of R&D and Quality at FINSA.
On Thursday, November 4th, CETIM will organise the 1stLIFE PHOENIX Workshop, led by Aqualia in A Coruña, Spain. This face-to-face event will focus on Wastewater Regeneration: New legislation, Innovative Technologies & Success Cases.
H2020 REWISE Project: Publication in Access Government. The publication has a total audience of around 900,000 and counts with collaboration from high representatives of the European Commission and other international organisations in each of its quarterly issue....
Next Wednesday, November 3, CETIM Technological Centre will attend the gala of the I Contest of Innovative Materials of Galicia in which the selected ones in this first edition will be announced. The event, organized by the Galician Innovation Agency, is held on the World Materials Day.
Recently, the Galician Innovation Agency has funded REPLAY project, in which CETIM collaborates, within the framework of the Conecta Hub call.
Led by UTINGAL, REPLAY will generate the first intelligent digital integrated solution for polyamides reuse in high added value applications for the aeronautical sector.
Project’s kick-off meeting took place last Thursday, October 21st.
In recent decades, the need for a new economic and social model, eco-sustainable and without dependence on fossil resources has become increasingly important.
Forest resources, green and renewable, acquire a renewed protagonism.
CETIM are experts in formulation and optimization of wood-derived materials.
The commissioning of new equipment represents an important advance in the specialization of our knowledge and expansion of our capabilities.
We set up an electrochemistry laboratory, specialized in materials for Li-ion batteries, advanced materials for energy storage, and electrochemical technologies for metal recovery.
Within the Bioprocesses laboratory, we expanded our capabilities by equipping ourselves with bioreactors ranging from laboratory scale to pre-industrial scale.
